Applied Behavior Analysis

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated outcome based approach used to reduce interfering behaviors such as self-injurious and tantrum behaviors,  and to enhance socially significant behaviors like functional communication, social skills, play and self-help skills.  ABA services are overseen by a Pediatric Psychologist and care is implemented under the direct supervision of a Louisiana Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (LBA-BCBA), who is responsible for conducting assessments, developing and updating treatment plans and goals, and providing ongoing training and support to the Registered Line Technicians who implement the treatment plans.

Although at Care Tec Pediatric Center we do not offer ABA services directly, we can provide information regarding qualified providers of ABA service at a location most convenient for you.   We use a multidisciplinary approach to improve the lives of children diagnosed with diverse mental health issues, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other developmental disabilities and would be happy to assist you in the first step of this process by providing a Diagnostic  Psychological or Psycho-educational Evaluation which is the first step toward accessing the skills of the appropriate provider for an adult, adolescent or child.
